Rebates & Fees
Please note, all sessions will run for 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
Medicare Rebates
A Mental Health Care Plan or a Review of a Mental Health Care Plan from a GP, or a referral from a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist allows you to get a rebate of $136.65 (Clinical Psychologist) or $92.90 (Psychologist/Clinical Registrar) for a 50 minute session for up to 10 individual and 10 group sessions each calendar year (January to December).
In order for a client to be eligible for the Medicare rebate their referral should include:

The client's presenting problem

Date of referral

The number of treatment services the individual needs to receive (to a maximum of 6 per referral).

A copy of the Mental Health Treatment Plan (if referred by GP only)
You may be eligible for alternate Medicare rebates (e.g., eating disorder referrals or chronic health plans). Please discuss with your referring doctor to determine your eligibility.
Private Health Rebates
Private health rebates may apply, depending on your individual level of cover. Please contact your private health provider to determine your eligibility. Please note, Medicare rebates and private health rebates can not be claimed on the same session.
Payment
Fees must be paid in full by cash, EFTPOS or credit card at the conclusion of each scheduled appointment. While the session fee needs to be paid in full at the time of service, TYRO facilities are available meaning that the Medicare EasyClaim system can directly deposit the rebate into your bank account (may take up to 48hrs).
There is a 10% administrative charge for accounts not paid on the day of the appointment.
A cancellation fee will apply for non-attendance or if less than 24 hours notice of cancellation is provided. Payment of cancellation fees is required prior to booking further appointments.

Reports and Letters
All reports and letters required outside of standard Medicare requirements will attract a fee commensurate with our general hourly fee ($220), pro-rata.
